Shortly after 18:30, the police in Berlin wrote on the platform X that the item was checked and that it was a backpack.
“It does not pose any danger”, can be read in the statement.
The cordons around the area, which were set up in connection with the operation, are lifted.
At an early stage, a man was arrested by the police, according to the newspaper Picture. The information also stated that bomb dogs had been on site.
