He had gone goalless from three of the last four games for Manchester City. But tonight, Erling Haaland would take over the stage again.
At home against Sparta Prague, Haaland answered for a special goal to say the least, which meant 2-0 to City. The Norwegian jumped into the air and managed to smash it into the goal with a wrong turn. Something that a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic otherwise made himself known for being able to do during his career.
The 24-year-old was not done there, but also scored 4-0 and his third goal in total in the Champions League this season.
Afterwards, Haaland was praised for the effort in the British media.
“He’s back again, after the mini-drought”, wrote the BBCamong other things.
Raphinha hat-trick hero for Barcelona
Manchester City eventually won 5–0.
Elsewhere, Raphinha had a good night for his Barcelona. Brassen scored a hat-trick at home to Bayern Munich in the 4–1 win.
