Last week, Cathinka Tandberg became a big hero when she pushed Hammarby to the Champions League finals with her goal against Benfica.
The successful acquisition continued on the beaten path at home against Örebro when she clinically made it 2-0 in the 65th minute. It was the striker’s eighth women’s Swedish goal in green and white since the move from Linköping in August.
Before that, team captain Alice Carlsson had nodded in the lead goal after just under an hour. The victory means that Hammarby consolidates its European place – six points ahead of Kristianstad.
– In others, we pick up the pace and dare to go a little more centrally. Then it becomes more difficult for them. The focus is on one match at a time, we must not focus on anything else, says team captain Carlsson to Viaplay after the match.
