AP refers to a press release from the prosecutor’s office in Madrid. Ancelotti is accused of withholding one million euros, around SEK 11 million, from the Spanish state.
Ancelotti took over Real Madrid in 2021 but previously coached the club between 2013 and 2015. It is from his first stay that the allegations are based on, between 2014 and 2015.
He is accused of only declaring income he received from Real Madrid and not income from image rights. Instead, he allegedly used a “confusing” system involving shell companies to hide other income.
