In Berlin, where, among other things, the final will be played at the Olympic Stadium, the emergency hospitals have practiced a terror scenario with hundreds of seriously injured people. The biggest threat comes from IS in Afghanistan, which has called on its followers to commit suicide against the European Football Championship. The same branch of the terrorist organization previously issued threats against the cities and stadiums where the Champions League was played in the spring.
But as usual, the threat from hooligans is also something the organizers take seriously. And border controls against all neighboring countries have been temporarily introduced to be able to stop violent visitors already at the border.
See in the clip how the staff at one of Berlin’s emergency hospitals are surprised by a large terror exercise before the EC.
