The men’s national football team gathers in Malmö before the international training match against Denmark at Parken. The stay in Malmö will be a fond reunion for midfielder Anthony Elanga, 22, with the city where he was born and grew up for a few years.
His father, Joseph, then played in MFF where the left back became a profile during his seven years at the club.

– They say away is good, but at home is best. It feels good to be here, I was quite young so I don’t remember much. I was also here when they played against Gothenburg last season, it was nice. I saw a lot of people here, many wanted to take pictures. They thought I was the father and then I said I wasn’t. Do I look like Joseph? Daddy doesn’t have hair, I have hair. I’m an Elanga, so it still feels nice, says Anthony Elanga.
The 22-year-old winger says that the father and the rest of the family mean a lot to him, and that he plays for them.
– He checks every match, even if I play well, he says that there is something I can do better.
Sweden plays a training international against Denmark at Parken tomorrow, Wednesday.
