Three straight victories under new coach Arne Slot. But today came Liverpool’s first loss of points this season in the Premier League.
The match was goalless for over 70 minutes – until Nottingham got a sharp conversion.
Anthony Elanga sent over a long pass to Callum Hudson-Odoi on the other edge, and the latter screwed in 1–0.
The goal was match-deciding and Nottingham has therefore started the season strongly with two wins and two crosses.
This means that Nottingham won at Anfield for the first time since 1969.
Haaland’s hysterical scoring form continues
While Liverpool lost, title rivals Manchester City turned around and won at home to Brentord.
After conceding a late goal already in the first minute, Erling Haaland stepped forward, as so many times before.
The Norwegian scored his eighth and ninth Premier League goals of the season as City won 2–1.
