Football: Another loss for Malmö FF in the European Championship

– It is difficult to say anything when we have lost 4-1. We make it difficult for ourselves by being 2-0 down early on. The big difference is that they score on their conversions while we don’t score on our chances, says captain Anders Christiansen to Disney.

With 20 minutes left, the match was decided. After a free kick, Ibrahim Cissé headed in 4-1 for the Budapest club.

– Then we felt that it was more or less over, says Christiansen.

MFF then chased a reduction without feeling particularly hot – they never came close.

There was otherwise little pulse in the match when Erik Botheim reduced the score to 2-1 on a penalty after a long wait in the 18th minute. They had a chance to make it 2-2, but instead made some mistakes during the Hungarians’ 3-1 goal.

He snatched the ball from the goalkeeper to quickly get the game started. In the stands, the fellow MFF fans cheered loudly for their section.
