Rosengård has started the women’s league with 13 straight victories and 58-3 in goal difference. The scoring average brings to mind Umeå, who during their most superior season in 2005 won 21 games and had one draw. They then scored 94 goals and conceded 11.
Even if Rosengård could match those numbers after the end of the season, Hanna Marklund does not see that any team can match Umeå’s status.
During its glory days, the team took seven SM golds and won the Champions League.
– It’s quite a long way off, and unfortunately I think it will be difficult to get back to that level. Infinitely more money is needed.
