During Tuesday, Pawel Cibicki trained with Allsvenskan IFK Värnamo.
But his four-year suspension, which only expires on February 2, also applies to training – and now the 31-year-old risks having his punishment doubled with a suspension for another four years.
According to RF’s regulations, Värnamo can also be punished because they have had a suspended player in training.
Investigating whether Värnamo should also be notified
Now the Swedish Football Association has investigated the incident and its association lawyers have decided to draw up a report against Pawel Cibicki.
Whether Värnamo is reported or not has not yet been decided.
“As far as a possible report against IFK Värnamo is concerned, that investigation is still ongoing,” SvFF writes in a press release.
Also convicted in the Court of Appeal
Pawel Cibicki has been suspended since February 2021 for having taken a yellow card on purpose in an Allsvenskan match in 2020.
He was also convicted of this in the Court of Appeal, which found him guilty of bribery and gambling offences, as according to the verdict he had received money to take the card – something that several people had bet money on.
SVT Sport has contacted Värnamo and Pawel Cibicki for a comment.
