The issue of buying paid blue ticks on Twitter has been much discussed. This plan, supported by Elon Musk, who bought the social media platform for $44 billion, included Twitter users to have some advantages by paying a certain amount of monthly fee and to have a blue tick, called a verification badge, that shows that the account is verified. Twitter has implemented this and already many Twitter users around the world can get blue ticks by subscribing to the blue tick Twitter Blue subscription plan. But it looks like the paid blue tick idea won’t be limited to Twitter.
PAID BLUE TIC IS COMING TO FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, also seems to be launching the paid blue tick plan. Because Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that they will start testing a new plan called Meta Verified this week.
The Meta Verified subscription package includes a verification badge that verifies your account on Instagram and Facebook. So this package will allow you to have a blue tick.
FEATURES OF BLUE TICK META VERIFIED
According to Meta’s statement, Meta Verified will offer features such as greater protection against impersonation outside of the blue tick, access to a real person for account issues, and more visibility and reach with prominence in certain areas of the platform such as search, comments and recommendations.
Meta begins a phased test this week in Australia and New Zealand.
PRICE OF BLUE TICK META VERIFIED
Meta Verified will be available for direct purchase on Instagram or Facebook in Australia and New Zealand starting this week. Users can subscribe to Meta Verified for $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on iOS and Android. There is no information about the price in Turkey yet.
