For many years he was director of the Nordic Museum’s folk memory collection and wrote a number of books about Swedish folk beliefs. He was frequently hired to comment on Swedish customs and practices in the media. In 1985 he was a door opener in SVT’s Christmas calendar “Trolltider”.
Ebbe Schön was 92 years old. Shortly before his death, he had just published the book “Gårdstomtens törar”.
