After two sets, Florida leads the third final against Edmonton no less than 4–1. After Edmonton equalized, Florida forged three goals, one of which was scored by Aleksander Barkov.
of Edmonton Warren Foegele tied the third NHL Finals to start the second period of the drive. Edmonton then got a strong hold, but the keeper Sergei Bobrovsky kept Florida tied with his saves.
Edmonton’s good grip did not materialize and in the end the team’s mistakes backfired. First, Vladimir Tarasenko took advantage of goalkeeper Stuart Skinner’s mistake and scored a 2–1 lead. Defender Darnell Nurse’s puck loss caused Sam Bennett’s 3–1 goal.
The Finnish Center Alexander Barkov completed the 4–1 readings on a drive late in the period, when the balance of the Edmonton five cracked in the offensive zone.
Edmonton won the shots in the second period as much as 16–8, but the team did not get any kind of reward for it.
