(Finance) – The fundraising campaign promoted by Enel among the people of the Group in Italy, a support from the Civil Protection of Emilia-Romagna committed alongside the population affected by the flood. The initiative, together with the contribution of Enel Cuore, the Group’s non-profit organizationmade it possible to collect one million euros which will be used to support specific interventions identified by the Regional Civil Protection for the reconstruction of the areas most damaged by the flood last May.
“Through this initiative we wish to offer concrete help to the population of Emilia-Romagna, engaged in a complex reconstruction after the floods that seriously affected them – declared Leonardo Bellodi, president of Enel Cuore –. Thanks to the work and generosity of Enel colleagues, to which has been added the important contribution of Enel Cuore, we will give our support to the Civil Protection which is working hard to restore normality to the people, communities and territories most affected by the emergency”.
To deal with the emergency has also taken the field E-Distribution which in a few days managed to re-power around 55,000 users, making more than 170 generators available, rebuilding 4 primary substations and 300 secondary ones, as well as 100 km of Medium Voltage lines and 10,000 meters.
