And while the fervor is rising in all Moroccan cities, some Lions supporters are taking a cold shower. The airlift organized by the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) to take them to Doha has taken a hit. The national company announced this Wednesday morning the cancellation of several flights.

According to the RAM press release, which appeared on Wednesday, December 14, of the thirty flights announced, only fourteen have been scheduled. And the company claims that it is the flights chartered by Qatar Airways that have been canceled, without giving further explanation.
Several Moroccan media argue that the reason for these cancellations would be in Doha. The Moroccan Football Federation had announced the distribution of tickets for tonight’s match as soon as the fans arrived at the airport. But while she had promised 13,000 tickets, many moroccan supporters, who have already arrived in Doha, said they did not receive the precious sesame. Many of them would thus have remained at the airport, refusing to leave the premises without the famous ticket.
Fan anger
In response, the Qatari company would then have blocked the planes, supposed to pick up other Moroccan supporters in Casablanca. Anyway, on social networks, supporters express their anger: many had booked their hotel, and will only be reimbursed for the plane ticket. They accuse RAM of mishandling the situation, including selling more plane tickets than there would be tickets available for the game.
