If your plane arrives at your destination at least 3 hours late, you can benefit from compensation, the amount of which will depend on the distance of the flight, independently of the price of the ticket. Count 250€ for a flight up to 1500 km, 400€ for flights between 1500 and 3500 km, and 600€ beyond 3500 km (with at least 4 hours delay in this specific case). You should also know that the delay is calculated on arrival at the destination, and not on departure of the plane.
