Oulun Karpat lost its lead three times in the Spengler

Oulun Kärpät won their final game of the first group in the Spengler Cup played in Davos.

Kärpät, who lost 4-6 to the Swiss team Friborg in the opening game of ice hockey’s Spengler Cup, defeated the Czech Dynamo Pardubice in the first group on Saturday.

The one at the top of the ice hockey league’s point exchange Reid Gardiner sank Pardubice with his 3–2 overtime goal in 63.24.

Patrik Virta scored his second goal of the tournament when he took the Oulu team to a 1–0 lead right at the start of the match. Teemu Turunen took Kärpät to a 2–1 lead in 54:35, but the Czech series leader still struggled to make it 2–2 in regular time.

Among other things, Kärptilta whistled on Saturday Saku Mäenalanen, Marko Anttila and Ville Pokka.

The Finnish club’s playoff opponent on Sunday is not yet clear, but without any surprises, HC Davos is the strongest contender.

Founded in 1923, the Spengler Cup is one of the oldest and most traditional tournaments in the hockey world.
