Flash ‘Ukraine’ statements from NATO: His response to the question of ‘nuclear weapons’ drew attention

Flash Ukraine statements from NATO His response to the question

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg held a press conference before tomorrow’s NATO summit. Stoltenberg, who made important statements at the meeting, also answered the questions of the journalists. In response to the questions asked to Stoltenberg, “If Russia uses chemical weapons, will Ukraine’s NATO membership come to the agenda and what will be the response of NATO?”, the Secretary General made critical statements. Stoltenberg also commented on Belarus’ role in the war.

Highlights from Stoltenberg’s statements are as follows:

  • I expect us to consider China’s role in this crisis as well. Beijing has started to take sides with Moscow on the issue of independent states. In this context, it has started to spread disinformation. Our alliances are concerned that China is supplying equipment to Russia.

  • The decisions we make tomorrow will have long-term effects. North America and Europe have stood together since the beginning of this crisis, and we will continue to do so. We will stand against Russia’s attacks and continue to support Ukraine.

  • Russia has repeatedly renounced the NATO founding agreement and has violated it openly.

“CHEMICAL WEAPON CHANGE THE NATURE OF CONFLICT”

  • Russia must stop its nuclear and cyber plans, they are dangerous and irresponsible. Nuclear war has no winners. The use of chemical weapons will completely change the nature of the conflict and will mean international law, with very serious consequences. It is in no way acceptable.

WILL THE PEACE POWER BE SENT TO UKRAINE?

  • We are supporting Ukraine in an unprecedented way. However, Ukraine’s NATO membership is not on our agenda at the moment. NATO will not send peacekeepers to Ukraine.

CALL TO BELARUS

  • Belarus was a collaborator in this occupation. It allowed the Russian lands to be used as a site for the strong heaping of it there. It allows Russia to launch airstrikes against civilians from there, using its airspace. We call on Belarus to stop them, we call for ‘don’t be used by Russia’.
