The Google – Mandiant deal has come true. The tech giant has announced that it plans to acquire cybersecurity firm Mandiant to better protect cloud users.
WE WILL PAY $23 PER SHARE
Google announced that it plans to acquire Mandiant for approximately $5.4 billion. The search engine giant said it would pay $23 per share for Mandiant, which was founded in 2004. Mandiant will join Google’s cloud computing division.
SECOND BIGGEST PURCHASE EVER
If regulators approve the deal, the acquisition will be Google’s second largest ever.
The deal is expected to be completed this year.
