The Russian mercenary group Wagner, which came to the top of the world’s agenda after the military uprising it initiated in Russia, moved to Moscow under the leadership of Prigozhin. Wagner troops, who agreed to surrender shortly thereafter, were stationed in Belarus. Allegations that Russian leader Putin would take revenge on Prigojin for the movement he initiated were voiced by many circles, and on August 24, the private jet Prigojin was on crashed in the Tver region near Moscow. After the accident, Russian authorities confirmed that Prigozhin was on the plane.
