The boy arrived at the University Hospital in Örebro on the afternoon of January 10. After stopping breathing, he was pronounced dead at 10 p.m.
The parents have previously reported the incident to both the patient board and to Ivo because they felt that it took too long before the boy received care.
Investigation shows shortcomings
The region’s investigation now shows shortcomings in the handling of the boy. The next step will be Ivo’s investigation.
“It appears that there has been a delay in the handling of the patient in various stages, which needs to be investigated more closely,” writes the region in a press release.
