President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the details of his so-called victory plan to the Ukrainian parliament today, Wednesday.

According to Zelensky, the plan has five points: inviting Ukraine to become a member of the military alliance NATO, defense, deterrence against Russian aggression, economic growth and post-war security architecture.

In addition, there are three secret additions to the plan, which have been told to international partners, says the Kyiv Independent news site.

Zelenskyi has said before that he is working closely to finalize the plan. Tomorrow he will travel to Brussels to present his plan at the EU summit.

– If the plan is supported, the war can be brought to an end next year at the latest, Zelenskyi told the parliament. Among others, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Western diplomats were present at the event.

The number one goal is NATO membership

Number one requirement is Ukraine’s entry into the defense alliance NATO. Ukraine already submitted an application for membership in September 2022, but the country has not received a clear green light from the alliance.

– We understand that NATO membership is a matter of the future, Zelenskyi said.

However, he added that an invitation to become a member now would show the Russian president, who is waging a war of aggression in Ukraine, that his geopolitical calculations are not valid.

Second the plan emphasizes that taking the war to Russian soil is important. This refers, for example, to Ukraine’s attacks on the Kursk region at the beginning of August. This prevents Russia from building buffer zones on the Ukrainian side, Zelenskyi estimates.

The plan calls for Ukraine’s Western backers to remove restrictions on using long-range missiles against Russia. In addition, more support for the Ukrainian Defense Forces is required in many ways.

The third part focuses on building a “nuclear-weapon-free deterrent” in Ukraine, with a covert component involved.

The fourth part focuses on the economy. It hopes for, among other things, international investments in Ukraine that would utilize Ukraine’s natural resources such as rare metals.

The fifth volume focuses on the post-war era and cooperation with the military alliance NATO.

– If the allies agree, after the war it could be possible to replace some of the US forces in Europe with Ukrainian units, Zelenskyi said.

According to the Kiev Independent, information about the profit plan has been given to the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France and Great Britain.
