Five players leave HV71 for next season

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

It is now just over three weeks since HV71’s men’s team secured their place in the SHL next season as well. During these weeks, the sports director has started with team building for next season. It was already clear that Eric Martinsson’s contract would be terminated and now it is clear that another five players will not continue to play in the club next season.

– I have had conversations with all the players concerned and informed them that there will be no continuation in HV71. They are all super professional guys and we wish them the best of luck in their future careers.

More players on expiring contracts

Four of the players who are now leaving had expiring contracts. Kalle Maalahti goes back to SaiPa, a club he was on loan from.

There are additional players in the first team squad who are on expiring contracts.

– We have or will have a continued dialogue with some of the players about the future and the situation around team building will grow in the near future, according to Kent Norberg.
