In Lebanon, five UN peacekeepers were wounded in the afternoon when an airplane attack took place near them, says the UN UNIFIL mission on its website.

At the time of the incident, the peacekeepers were passing the city of Sidon.

The defense forces told STT via email that everything is fine with the Finnish peacekeepers.

The Lebanese Armed Forces had previously said that four Malaysian peacekeepers had been wounded in an Israeli attack near an army checkpoint in the city of Sidon.

According to the armed forces, the blow hit a car that was passing the checkpoint. Three civilians inside the car were killed.
