What is Five Guys?
Five Guys is an American hamburger chain that is coming to Sweden. They serve up to 200 gram hamburgers and double fry their fries.
Where did Five Guys come from?
Five Guys was founded in 1986 by the Murrell family in Arlington, Virginia, USA. The focus then was only take away food, but at the beginning of 2003 the family business became a franchise, which Café wrote more about.
Five Guys quickly went from only a few restaurants to over 300 and today you can also sit in the restaurant and eat.

What is unique about Five Guys?
What is unique about Five Guys is that they do not have a signature burger, but all customers get the opportunity to put together their own burger.
– The idea is that if a group of ten people come in, everyone can get a completely different burger depending on how they want it, explains Five Guys Scandinavia’s CEO Mohammed Taoussi for Foodnet.
All customers will be able to choose between 15 different ingredients for their burgers and there will be almost 250,000 different ways to combine their burger.
Something else that makes Five Guys unique is that there is no freezer in the restaurant kitchen, but everything is always completely fresh.
– We have people who cook the food and cut up the vegetables every day. Everything is fresh, even the bread. When it comes down to it, I don’t think anyone has that concept in the Nordics, that everything is so fresh when it comes to the ingredients, says Mohammed Taoussi to Foodnet.

Should Five Guys open in Sweden?
Yes, at the beginning of 2025 the first Swedish Five Guys restaurant will open in Sweden.
Where does Five Guys open in Sweden?
Sweden’s first Five Guys restaurant will be located in Klang Market’s old premises in Hötorgskrapan, right by Sergel’s square in central Stockholm.
Five Guys also plans to open restaurants in nine other Swedish cities, including Gothenburg, Malmö and Uppsala. They also hope to be able to open the doors in the neighboring countries of Denmark and Finland.
How many Five Guys restaurants are there?
In five years, the vision is for 20 Nordic restaurants to open. Today they have 1,700 restaurants in 24 countries worldwide.
