After Monday’s serious head-on collision on county road 184 between Skara and Falköping, the police now announce that five people have died.
All the people are men between 20 and 45 years old. Relatives of four of the five people have been notified, the fifth man has not yet been identified.
According to Gothenburg Post the men were colleagues.
– It is extremely tragic. Our thoughts go out to the next of kin and we will take our responsibility as an employer, says a representative from the company to the newspaper.
The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding gross negligence in traffic, but there is still no suspect.
The car caught fire
It was on Monday afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., that a truck and a car collided on the county road.
Initially, it was stated that three people would be involved. But later on Monday, the number was updated to six.
According to the alarm, the car has started to burn and the road is closed in both directions. The road could only be reopened at 06:00 on Tuesday morning.
