Junk board was worth unlikely sum

For almost 50 years, the oil painting hung on the wall inside Oslo’s University Hospital.

Now it has been sold at auction in New York for the equivalent of SEK 138 million, writes the BBC.

The uninitiated board is painted by the Indian artist MF Husain who died in 2011.

It was taken to Oslo in 1954 by a Ukrainian doctor who bought it for a modest sum in New Delhi during a WHO mission.

The board’s forgotten existence in the Norwegian hospital corridor came to the auction house’s Christie’s knowledge of 2013 after a tip.

Russian attack on hospital – two dead

Russia has attacked a military hospital in Charkiv, says the Ukrainian military.

Patient began to burn – life -threatening injured

A woman aged 95 has been injured at Strömstad Hospital. According to the police, her clothes have started to burn.

The woman has been taken to Sahlgrenska Hospital by ambulance helicopter. She is said to be life -threatening.

Police were alerted during Saturday afternoon and investigating the incident as a causing bodily harm.

Golf car accident in the archipelago – three to hospital

Three people have been taken to hospital after a golf car overturned in the Gothenburg archipelago. A woman in her 70s and two younger children were in the vehicle when the accident occurred.

The children must have survived minor injuries, according to police. The older woman was awake and talkable.
