Around 25 fishing boats are moving towards Gothenburg to protest against the government’s plans for new wind power. According to Sweden’s fishermen’s producer organization, the wind turbines risk knocking out their livelihood, writes GP.

– We are not against wind turbines in general, but you put the wind turbines on the fishermen’s playgrounds and on the absolute best fishing spots, says chairman Peter Ronelöv Olsson to the newspaper.

The action is the first of several, according to the organization. A similar protest is also underway in Varberg.

– Soon we will have no fishing left in Sweden, says Peter Ronelöv Olsson.
