What is the Lord of the Rings anime The Battle of the Rohirrim about?
The Battle of the Rohirrim takes place hundreds of years before Frodo’s time in the homeland of the eponymous horsemen of Rohan. Helm Hammerhand sits on the throne at this time as the ancestor of Théoden, Éomer and Éowyn. But his country is attacked by the warlike Dunlendings. Helm’s strong daughter Héra does everything she can to repel the enemy after Wulf refuses to marry him, even though the latter is approaching with oliphates and superior numbers. Rohan’s residents then retreat into a mountain gorge that will later become known as Helm’s Deep.
The Lord of the Rings film shows the world and battles of Tolkien directed by Kenji Kamiyama first as animei.e. as a Japanese animation film. Behind the scenes, Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh, as well as many other creative people who were involved in the first fantasy film trilogy, returned.
