Between 1989 and 1996, British author Neil Gaiman published the legendary comic book series The Sandman, which tells the story of the ruler of the dream world told. For more than 30 years, Hollywood has tried to adapt the material in the form of moving images. Netflix is now presenting a live-action adaptation as a series.
After various insights into The Sandman have already been published in the past few months, there are now also a first real trailer. Gaiman’s fantasy world comes to life in dark images. Tom Sturridge stars in the lead role, while Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie appears as Lucifer.

The series was created by David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg. For fans of the template, however, another name should be significantly more important: Gaiman is as a creative force involved in the Netflix implementation. Most recently, he was also instrumental in the adaptation of Good Omens from Amazon Prime.
