Citadel, an action-packed spy series by Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, was released on Amazon Prime in 2023 and was intended as a really expensive James Bond competitor. However, the production, which starred stars like Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, failed to generate any real buzz or good reviews.

New Citadel spin-off on Amazon Prime focuses on undercover agent
The story of the spin-off takes place eight years after the spy organization Citadel was wiped out by the enemy syndicate Manticore. The focus of the plot this time is Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), who was infiltrated into Manticore as an undercover agent by Citadel. Now she is left alone in enemy territory. To survive, she must team up with Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of the Italian Manticore leader.

The new series from the Citadel universe is scheduled to be released worldwide on October 10, 2024 will be available with the Amazon Prime subscription. All six episodes of the spin-off will then be released for streaming in one go.
