First trailer for the sci fi blockbuster starring Millie Bobby Brown

The Electric State set new standards long before its Netflix launch: it is said to have cost an incredible $320 million, and not just because of stars like Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Chris Pratt (Jurassic World). The Electric State would be by far the streamer’s most expensive film. Thanks to the first trailer, sci-fi fans can now judge for themselves whether the effort is visible:

Sci-fi blockbuster on Netflix: The Electric State takes place after a robot uprising

The Electric State is set in a divisive vision of the future of the USA characterized by loneliness and paranoia: after an uprising in the 1990s Robots and humans are hostile to each other. Millie Bobby Brown plays a teenager who embarks on a dangerous journey across the country in search of her brother. At her side are a drifter (Chris Pratt) and a friendly robot.

Stand behind The Electric State Joe and Anthony Russo, who will be known to many as the directors of Marvel hits like Avengers: Endgame or The First Avenger: Civil War. In the director’s chair you were most recently responsible for the Netflix action The Gray Man. They are also set to direct the upcoming blockbuster Avengers 5: Doomsday.

When does The Electric State start on Netflix?

The Electric State is due on March 14, 2025 appear on Netflix, as the trailer reveals. The film is based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag. In addition to the stars already mentioned, Ke Huy Quan and Stanley Tucci can be seen in front of the camera.
