Star Wars: Skeleton Crew follows on from The Mandalorian and brings back the pirate Vane
The story of Skeleton Crew follows four children, Fern, Neel, Wim and KB, who discover a mysterious spaceship on their home planet – and accidentally activate it. They then become lost in the vastness of the galaxy and must at the side of the mysterious force user Jod Na Nawood must now find a way back home.

On the Star Wars timeline, Skeleton Crew is set in the same era as the series The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. While the trailer still doesn’t reveal the villain of the story, a surprising connection to the so-called Mandoverse revealed.

Who is behind Skeletown Crew? The series was developed by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, who previously worked together on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Some exciting, creative voices are responsible for the staging of the eight episodes.
In addition to Watts and The Mandalorian returnees Lee Isaac Chung and Bryce Dallas Howard, the directing staff also includes Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts) and David Lowery (The Green Knight).
When does Star Wars: Skeleton Crew start on Disney+?
Star Wars fans had to wait a long time for Skeleton Crew. The series project was officially announced in May 2022 and the launch on Disney+ was actually expected in 2023. Now the space adventure won’t be long in coming.
The new Star Wars series starts in the USA on December 3, 2024 on Disney+Due to the time difference, the first episode is expected to premiere in Germany on December 4, 2024. The first season consists of eight episodes, which will be released weekly.
