First trailer for the new Outlander series reveals Jamie and Claire’s parents

While Outlander fans are currently waiting for the second part of the 7th season, they can already look forward to an expansion of the fantasy universe. The prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood will expand the romantic time travel story and tell the backstory of Jamie and Claire’s parents. The first teaser trailer now gives you a foretaste of the series.

Fantasy prequel Outlander: Blood of my Blood takes you to 18th century Scotland

Outlander: Blood of my Blood tells the story of two couples who meet in completely different eras. Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) meet for the first time in 18th century Scotland. At the time of the First World War, Julia Mortison (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) meet.

At first glance, the two couples have little in common. But their respective descendants, Claire Beauchamp and James Fraser, will one day find each other and overcome the boundaries of time and space together.

The prequel series is also being created by Outlander showrunner and writer Matthew B. Roberts. The first season of Blood of my Blood will have 10 episodes. It is not yet clear when exactly these will celebrate their premiere on the US provider Starz. However, the teaser trailer already tells us that it will happen at some point Summer 2025 will be ready.
