This is known about the plot of Blue Beetle

The character Blue Beetle first appeared in 1939 and entered the DC Universe in the 80’s. The film now revolves around the third Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, who has been fighting for good since 2006. The story is as follows:

Xolo Maridueña plays Jaime, who just graduated from college. He returns home and faces a big decision: what is he going to do with his life now? At that moment, he finds an ancient piece of alien technology: the scarab. And he chooses Jaime of all people as his human carrier. This gives the young man an exoskeleton and unexpected powers. The superhero Blue Beetle is born.

The cast of the film includes Raoul Max Trujillo, the antagonist from Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto, who should heat up Jaime as comic book villain Carapax the Indestructible Man.
