The Walking Dead is over, but it’s far from dead. After a series about Negan and Maggie and one about Daryl in France, the former protagonist of the zombie hit returns to the undead apocalypse. We’re talking about Rick, whose actor Andrew Lincoln left the series in 2018.

Next year he will see Michonne (Danai Gurira) again in his own series. At Comic-Con in San Diego, California, the first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne aka The Ones Who Live published.

That’s what the new The Walking Dead series is all about

In the midst of the zombie apocalypse, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne Hawthorne (Danai Gurira) bond. They fought side by side, fell in love and started their own little family. One day, however, Rick disappeared without a trace and was presumed dead. Years later, Michonne finds surprising evidence that her husband may still be alive. And so she goes in search of him.

Years have passed since Rick and Michonne last saw each other. Life in the Civic Republic mega-community protected by the Civic Republic Military transformed him. Both he and Michonne were changed by this world. Can they find each other again? And after all this time, is their love still strong enough to face a great threat together?

This is known about the start date of the Rick and Michonne series

We still have to be patient for what is probably the most anticipated return of The Walking Dead. Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira will 2024 find each other again in their own series as Rick Grimes and Michonne. The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne will be shown on Magenta TV in Germany.

Before that, The Walking Dead: Dead City will start in Germany in October, followed by the Daryl series at the end of 2023.
