If you’ve forgotten this season is coming, you’re definitely not the only ones. It’s been two years since the historical series Barbarians premiered on Netflix. The story about Arminius, who was born in Germania but was raised by the Romans, was then extended by a second season. With some delay there is now one first epic teaser trailer for the sequel to Barbarians and we also have a period for the launch on Netflix.

We write the year 9 AD. Roman occupiers, led by the governor Varus, demand horrific taxes from the Germanic tribes. The tribes cannot defend themselves, because they are too hostile to one another to rebel against the empire. To express their displeasure, the Cheruscan prince’s daughter Thusnelda (Jeanne Goursaud) and the warrior Folkwin (David Schütter), who are secretly a couple, want to play a trick on the occupying forces.
The humiliation is said to cost her dearly. To take revenge, Varus sends his foster son Arminius (Laurence Rupp) to teach the Germans a lesson. However, he has a fateful connection to Thusnelda and Folkwin, which soon pushes him to choose a side. Together they bring together the warring tribes, whose uprising culminates in a decisive battle against the Roman superpower in the Teutoburg Forest.
In season 2, the barbarians must a year after the end of the Varus Battle defend again against the invading troops of the Roman Empire.
