First statement from the new King of England Charles 3

In his first speech after his accession to the throne, King Charles III of England promised to serve his people with loyalty, respect and love by honoring the memory of his mother.

King Charles III, who became the head of the royal family after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, stated in his first speech that his mother promised to devote her life to the British Commonwealth in Cape Town, South Africa, on her 21st birthday in 1947.

“She sacrificed for her duty. The love, admiration and respect she inspired marked her reign. I pay homage to my mother’s memory and honor her life of service.” King Charles III, who spoke, reminded that when his mother came to the throne, England and the world were still coping with the consequences of the Second World War, and that great progress had been made in the last 70 years.

King Charles III continued:

“I solemnly swore, as the Queen did with unwavering devotion. God has commissioned me for the rest of my life to uphold the constitutional principles at the heart of our nation. Wherever you live in England or the world, whatever your background or creed, you I will try to serve with loyalty, respect and love, as I have throughout my life.”

William becomes PRINCE OF WALES

Stating that Camilla, whom he married 17 years ago, will continue to serve the public as Queen, King Charles III said that his son and heir, William, has succeeded him as the Duke of Cornwall.

The King announced that he had also declared William the Prince of Wales, expressing that he was confident that they would fulfill their responsibilities with his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales.
