First reactions to The Acolyte are overwhelming

Star Wars always tells the same stories? If you are bored with the latest installments of the Star Wars saga, you should definitely watch The Acolyte. The new Star Wars series takes you to the Era of the High Republic and is set over 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace.

But the comparisons don’t end there. Star Wars Holocron brings the DC blockbuster The Batman and David Lynch’s mystery masterpiece Twin Peaks into play.

The first four episodes of The Acolyte are great. A gripping crime thriller reminiscent of the detective stories of Twin Peaks and Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Mature like Andorbut with full commitment and thematic reference to the prequels. Seeing the High Republic in live action does not disappoint.
