Made official last June with a photo of Joaquin Phoenix reading the script for the film, Joker 2 Folie à Deux has just started filming. It was Todd Philipps himself who made the announcement on his Instagram account, revealing at the same time a first official photo of the film, and the following caption: “Day 1. Our Boy”. We see Arthur Fleck shirtless, lying in the process of being shaved in a position that seems quite uncomfortable. The angle of his left arm leads us to believe that his hands are tied behind his back and that he is therefore being shaved by what appears to be the guard of a penitentiary, probably that of the asylum of Arkham. If the scenario follows the events of the first episode, Arthur will therefore be locked up and we imagine that Harley Quinn (camped by Lady Gaga) will undoubtedly get him out of his prison.
If fans are already speculating on this sequel, some rumors of which announced a musical, we see above all that Joaquin Phoenix gave of himself to take over the role of Arthur Fleck. He has indeed found his body of 2018, slimmed down by about thirty kilos, since the latter came out of the filming of Napoleon where the actor was rather plump. We remind you that the release of the film is expected for October 4, 2024 in the United States and two days earlier for France. So we have time to see it coming.
