Which game are you talking about? We’re talking about I Am Your Beast, a first-person shooter from developer Strange Scaffold. With the “Support Group” update, players received a free story expansion on November 22, 2024. Visually, the game has a comic look with some pretty bloody action.

What’s added with the new update? The Support Group update adds a new 9-level epilogue to the game. These are intended to offer players even more unique opportunities to take action against the COI. There are also new cutscenes for this.

Stylish revenge campaign in sandbox levels

What is the game about? As secret agent Alphonse Harding, you are on a personal vendetta against a military group called the COI. You take down your minions in daring maneuvers in which you climb up trees and balance along ziplines.

The game consists of several levels connected by a main story. Each level is its own micro-sandbox, at the end of which you receive a rank. It depends on how fast you are and how many secondary objectives you complete.

In the fight against the COI you have numerous weapons at your disposal: shotguns, assault rifles and pistols, but also knives and even bear traps. If the situation calls for it (or you just feel like it), you can even throw your pistol at an enemy’s head.

Players on Steam rate “Extremely Positive”

How is the game currently being received? On Steam, I Am Your Beast shines with an (almost) perfect rating from players: the game has 99% positive reviews. Out of a total of 1,552 reviews, just 11 are negative.

The fluid, fast gameplay, the great soundtrack and the atmospherically staged main story are praised. If you want to complete all levels at the highest rank, you can spend a lot of time with the shooter. Otherwise the game is relatively short.

One player criticizes that the levels require a certain minimum speed in order to progress in the story. Simply getting to the end without keeping an eye on the secondary goals doesn’t always work either. So you’re being bullied a little bit in this regard.

In another gem on Steam you can experience crazy space adventures with friends. The game is also very well received and only recently left Early Access. If you’re interested, read more about it in this article: A new space game on Steam is ruining friendships and players are loving it
