With Jurassic Park, Steven Spielberg created one of the best blockbusters of all time in the 1990s. The two sequels, Forgotten World – Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, were still hits, but could can no longer build on the mega success of the first part and divided the fans.
Almost 15 years after the third part, Jurassic World, the reboot of another trilogy, came to the cinema, which more than successfully revived the franchise. VOX will broadcast the start of the trilogy on Thursday.

According to Box Office Mojo, Jurassic World performed well at the global box office 1.6 billion dollars a. A massive success for the $150 million film, which was followed by sequels Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World 3: A New Age.
The two parts also grossed over a billion dollars at the global box office. Overall, the Jurassic World franchise has a box office gross of almost $4 billion.
On July 2, 2025, Jurassic World 4: Rebirth, a new part of the sci-fi series by Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, will start in cinemas. Among others, Marvel star Scarlett Johansson will be there.
