The Lion King 2 trailer disturbs Disney fans with a withered tree
Mufasa: The Lion King tells the backstory of the famous Disney story from the animated film and the computer-animated The Lion King from 2019. Simba’s father Mufasa (original voice: Aaron Pierre) has to learn to survive in the savannah as an orphan. According to initial Deadline information, the film will contain both prequel and sequel elements.

A reference to Mufasa’s future, but also to the fans’ past, is most likely already there the withered tree, which can be seen both in the trailer and in one of the first images of the film. It will remind many community members of the tree that Simba was able to climb to save himself from the wildebeest herd. And which would ultimately be the introduction to an even more painful scene.
When is Mufasa: The Lion King coming to cinemas?
Mufasa: The Lion King is coming on December 19, 2024 to the cinema. The film is directed by Barry Jenkins, known for the Oscar sensation Moonlight and the drama Beale Street, among others.
