The first keg of Hollandse Nieuwe arrived this afternoon by botter in the harbor of Bunschoten-Spakenburg. The annual auction for the first keg was won yesterday by the Association of Dutch Fish Specialists (VNV), of which the Spakenburgse Vishandel Vereniging (SVV) is a part. “This is a typical example, after corona too, that everything falls into place. That gives an indescribable feeling,” says SVV chairman Ruud van Diermen proudly.
