For the occasion, as every year, several towns set off fireworks, to the delight of holidaymakers and locals alike. However, due to the drought and the start of fires in different departments, some municipalities have decided to cancel their pyrotechnic events. Many people will still be able to enjoy this summer show, which has nothing to envy to the fireworks set off during the National Day. The animations can even be more impressive than those of July 14th.

On the theme “Fragile”, the bay of Cannes offers a pyrotechnic and musical journey inspired by the infinite beauty and great fragility of planet Earth. The fireworks on August 15, 2022 are set off at 10 p.m. as part of the “Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival“, a free event.
As every year, a fireworks display is fired on August 15, 2022 at 10 p.m. from Fort Saint Louis. The pyrotechnic show is preceded by a aerobatic show by the Alphajets of the Patrouille de France above the Mourillon beaches at 4 p.m. Remember to arrive in advance to find a place on Mourillon beach.
Monday August 15, 2022, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Landings in Provence, the municipality of Lavandou organizes a ceremony of remembrance at 11 a.m. in the Square des Héros, then a reception at noon on the Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville. The fireworks are set off at 10:30 p.m., followed by a popular ball with “Jerry’s Live”.
La Baule is not organizing a fireworks display on August 15, but the day before, the Sunday, August 14, 2022, observable from La Baule beach opposite Avenue du Général de Gaulle at 10:30 p.m. Shot from the bay of La Baule-Escoublac, special measures are in place to reinforce the safety of the event. Travel on foot or by bike is preferred and it is recommended to park far away because part of the seafront and avenue de Gaulle are closed to vehicles.
The city of Biarritz set the sky ablaze with pyrotechnic creations on August 15, 2022 from 10:30 p.m. Go to the Grande Plage to watch the fire fired from the Rocher du Basta and from the Grande Plage on the side of the Hôtel du Palais. The device deploys for 25 minutes. Vehicle traffic to the city center is prohibited from 5 p.m. The public is invited to leave vehicles in the free relay car parks of Aguilera and Iraty and to use the free shuttles available from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. every 20 minutes.
On the Port de l’Herbaudière in Noirmoutier-en-l’Île, a fireworks is drawn at 10:30 p.m. on August 15, 2022, preceded by a concert by La Déferlante and Les P’tits Fils de Jeanine at 9:15 p.m.
For August 15, 2022, the Le Touquet fireworks will be fired from the Ypres garden, very close to the Town Hall, around 10:30 p.m. For those who would like to watch the celebrations from the seaside, they should be visible if you are on the beach. After this pyrotechnic show will be held a popular ball animated by the Jazz-Band orchestra of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage at the covered market. It will start at 11 p.m.
In Royan, like every year, a pyrotechnic show takes place on August 15, 2022 at 10:30 p.m. from the Grande Conche de Royan. “The show is 180° since we also benefit from the fireworks on the other side of the Gironde estuary, on the Médoc side, like the Verdon” indicates the Royan Atlantique site.
The Cassis fireworks display, scheduled for August 15, has been postponed to August 21 at 10 p.m., due to a prefectural decree prohibiting fireworks in the Bouches-du-Rhône. It will be fired later, in the middle of the creeks.
Arras may not be by the sea, but the city of Pas-de-Calais should still be entitled to its fireworks on Monday August 15, 2022. It should be fired from the leisure center of Grandes Prairies around 11 p.m. More information.
