Between 20 and 30 masked people fired fireworks at the Vestre Fængsel prison in Copenhagen on Thursday evening.
Three people were detained, two suspected of violating the Knife Act and the third for violence against an official. The three were later released. According to Ekstra-Bladet, these are Bandidos members who wanted to honor jailed gang members, but the police do not want to confirm that.
The institution is Denmark’s largest with 506 places. It is not the first time that fireworks have been set off at Danish prisons.
