A firefighter in Chile was arrested on Friday on suspicion of starting the forest fires that killed 137 people in February.
– An arrest warrant was issued today against the person who started the fires in February in the Valparaíso region, police chief Eduardo Cerna said at a press conference on Friday.
It was on February 2 that several fires took off in the coastal city of Viña del Mar, in the middle of a heat wave. The fire spread quickly in dry weather and strong winds.
