Star Academy has been scheduled for fall 2024 for a season full of new features.
The 2024-2025 version of Star Academy has been scheduled on TF1 from Saturday, October 12, 2024. After the victory of Norman Pierre Garnier in the previous edition, the first channel could not pass up the opportunity for a new season of its long-running talent show, relaunched in 2021. It must be said that in addition to the television success, there is the success of a very lucrative tour, which has become the most important in France with 450,000 tickets sold.
TF1 unveiled the 2024-2025 season of Star Academy on September 25, which includes its share of changes and new features. If Nikos Aliagas remains in the presentation and that Michael Goldman is kept as director of the small team, the format and the casting of the teachers changes.
La Star Ac’ has been scheduled from Saturday, October 12, 2024, with a launch followed by other weekly bonuses every Saturday evening until the finale. A daily, broadcast 7 days a week on TF1+ and hosted by Karima Charni, completes the program, with bonuses all day long as well as a live available on the Premium version of the platform.
Fans were also invited to interact with the students every Sunday, with a series of questions and answers. Influencer Alix Grousset was invited for the official interview of the eliminated candidate, each week. The latter was scheduled for Tuesday, to give the students time to take a step back from their elimination.
The teaching staff of this Star Academy changes: Malika Benjelloun remains a dance teacher, Marlène Schaff becomes a “stage expression teacher”, Lucie Berdarnoni remains a coach and “big sister of the students”. Surprise on the other hand since Adeline Toniutti, one of the figures of the previous editions, was removed from singing in favor of Sofia Morgavi, opera singer and actress. In place of Marlène Schaff, a new coach also makes her appearance, Fanny Delaigue, a specialist in musical comedy.
Same change on the staging side since Pierre de Bauer is replaced by BElge Hugues Hamelynck, actor, improv loverdirector and café-theater director. The sports coach also changes with the arrival of the former 110m hurdles champion Ladji Doucouré instead of Joe. A new step in the TF1 house for the former athlete, after participating in Dancing with the Stars.

Star Academy is sponsored this year by Clara Luciani, the show’s godmother, who was invited from the first prime to welcome the students. Several other appearances by the singer have been announced throughout the season, including a special week dedicated to assessments and preparation for a prime.
TF1 also announced the arrival of Lara Fabian and Julien Doré as “exceptional teachers”, a new role imagined by the production, with a direct link to immunities.
The Star Academy candidates are part of a casting that is “ambitious and different from the previous season,” according to Jean-Louis Blot, the boss of the production company Endemol. They are between 18 and 24 years old, come from France, Belgium and even Switzerland and have “all provoked incredible emotions” during the selections, he assured. Only one candidate was revealed on September 25, during the presentation of the season in a press conference: Emma, who had just learned that she had been selected.
For this Star Academy 2024-2025, TF1 has promised a new remodeled stage, to be more spectacular. In a square set worthy of a ring, it has been equipped with removable platforms to add movement and a proscenium so that students and guest stars can approach the audience.
TF1 reported that the Dammarie-les-Lys castle, which has hosted Star Academy since the first season, has been equipped with 61 cameras, with a new room and a foyer available for students to “jam”, in other words, let loose on improvisations in an informal setting. “A link between life in the castle and their life as artists”, promised Jean-Louis Blot.
In the game mechanics, nominations are always announced in the daily, on Thursday. The only new thing this year: a battle organized between the top three students in the ranking during the weekly prime. The winner gets immunity for the following week, even if he remains engaged in the week’s evaluations in the hope of keeping his totem for another week.
A challenge directly involving teachers was also announced, with work with a particular student after the nominations around a theme, such as dance, theater, etc. The result: a special number from the student chosen during the prime.
Gregory Lemarchal in the spotlight
A tribute to Gregory Lemarchal (yet another one) was scheduled for this season of Star Academy, the singer, who died in 2007, having won the competition exactly twenty years ago. A new single was also announced by TF1 in which the students of the class will perform one of the songs written by the artist before his death and which has remained in a drawer since.
At the end of the last Star Academy final broadcast on TF1 on Saturday, February 3, 2024, Pierre Garnier was crowned the big winner. After facing Julien in the final, he was finally chosen by the public to win the famous talent show this year. He therefore signed a contract to record an album with the record company Sony Music Entertainment France.
