    It is burning with open flames in the premises of the social office in central Bengtsfors, reports Dalslänningen. The emergency services are currently on the scene to try to extinguish the fire.

    Smoke divers and an ambulance are on site and working. There are no reports that anyone has been injured. How the fire started is also unclear.

    The founder and CEO of messaging app Telegram, Franco-Russian billionaire Pavel Durov has been arrested at Le Bourget airport outside Paris.

    According to sources in the French police, Durov has been arrested as part of an investigation led by Ofmin, part of the French justice system that works against the exploitation, violence and abuse of children and young people. The app is considered to facilitate criminals in general through lack of moderation, handling of cryptocurrency and unwillingness to cooperate with authorities.

    Telegram is a fast, encrypted and very popular app for sending messages, pictures and clips. For example, it is used a lot by both sides in the war between Russia and Ukraine.

    Durov has previously stayed away from France, knowing the risk of being arrested there. A wanted man and an order to arrest him if he appears on French soil had been issued, according to the French TV channel TF1.

  • Boy robbed by masked criminals

    A 15-year-old boy was robbed during the night by three masked criminals in Alingsås.

    The people took the boy’s phone and headphones before leaving the scene on foot.

    The police have searched the area with a dog but no suspect has been found.

  • Fire in stairwell in Helsingborg

    Police and emergency services were called during the night to an apartment building in Helsingborg.

    The fire is said to have started in a storage room and a toilet.

    No one has been injured.

    The incident is being investigated as arson and there are no suspects at this time.

  • Another death after a traffic accident

    Another person has died after the serious fatal accident outside Hjo, reports New Lidköpings-Tidningen.

    In total, two people have died, one person is still being treated in hospital.

    A villa has burned to the ground in Hässleholm.

    The fire is said to have started in a vehicle in the driveway and then spread to the house.

    The police do not suspect any crime.

  • Suspected attempted murder on Gotland – two injured

    Two men have been taken to hospital with stab or cut injuries on Gotland. The police were called to a home in central Visby at half past three, after a witness heard a commotion.

    – The extent of the damage is unknown. We have started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, says Mikael Pettersson, RLC commander at the police.

    Three men in their 20s and 30s have been detained, suspected of being involved in the fight. Two of them are the injured persons.

    It is still unclear exactly what happened.

    – Perhaps it will become clear during the morning when we can conduct more proper interrogations with them. Considering their injuries, it was not time to hold interrogations during the night, says Mikael Pettersson.

    A police officer from Gothenburg is charged with misconduct, suspected of having urged his partner to escape in connection with a suspected drunk driver last spring, writes Göteborgs-Posten.

    The police believe that he could not intervene due to a knee injury, which the prosecutor does not believe.

    Witnesses from the incident believe that the police asked the woman to leave the scene, despite the fact that he knew that a patrol was on the way to the scene and that she was considered to be drunk. The man denies any wrongdoing.

    The Israeli military (IDF) has launched a major attack on what it describes as Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

    The IDF urges all residents in the vicinity of the targets to leave.

    “The IDF discovered that the terrorist organization Hezbollah was preparing to fire rockets and missiles against Israel and in response to those threats, the IDF is striking against terror in Lebanon,” writes the IDF on Telegram, according to TT.

    Israeli aircraft are now in the process of striking those targets.

    IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement that Hezbollah was preparing a “wide-scale attack on Israel, while endangering Lebanese civilians,” writes the New York Times.

    – We warn civilians in the area where Hezbollah operates to move away from danger immediately, for their own safety, he says.

  • Telegram boss arrested in France

  • One arrested for explosion at synagogue

    The explosion outside a synagogue in southern France on Saturday morning is being investigated as a terrorist attack.

    A suspect has been arrested, says French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.

    The explosion, in the town of La Motte near Montpellier, occurred when two cars were set on fire. The emergency services discovered several fires at two entrances to the synagogue.

    A police officer who arrived was injured when a gas tank in one of the vehicles exploded, the anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

    Five people, including the rabbi, were in the synagogue but escaped unharmed.

    SMHI has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in parts of Bohuslän and Dalsland.

    During the night to Sunday, a rain area moves in with thunder, and between 30-50 millimeters of rain can fall in a short time.

    The warning applies from 23:00 to 04:00.

    The roof of a silo containing flour must be damaged.

    – It is roofing felt that has come loose and you are afraid that it may blow away, an operator at SOS alarm told the newspaper.

    Because the silo contains flour, there is a risk that all the bread will be ruined if water gets into the flour, the rescue service told the newspaper.

  • Multi-car crash on the E4 at Kungens Kurva

    Several vehicles are said to be involved in a traffic accident on the E4 at the height of Kungens Kurva.

    A person has gone by ambulance to hospital and a report of causing bodily harm and negligence in traffic is made, the police write.
