Europa-Park officials in the town of Rust, located on the German border with France, reported that the fire broke out in the engine room of the closed section called “Yomi Magical Diamond World”.
EXPLOSION SOUNDS HEARED
Eyewitnesses said they heard explosions in the park several times before the fire. It was reported that only 3 firefighters were slightly injured in the fire. Offenburg police also stated that 2 people were slightly injured in the fire and 25 thousand people were evacuated without any problems.
It was noted that families from distant regions were also placed in hotels. It was stated that many firefighters intervened and the fire was under control.
